100 Days of Nature – Day 60 – Simplicity

So for a few days I’ve had a back back, and for the first time I’ve noticed how icky a bad back can be. I’ve not enjoyed walks like I do usually, I’ve not looked for things to take a photograph of. But this morning, I felt better. And what better way to start a good day than with a beautiful sunrise?

100 Days of Nature – Day 52 – Looking at Now

In the meantime, all we can do (all we are allowed to do) is take in what is around us immediately. We often spend so much time thinking of somewhere else, that we miss what’s in front and around now. There’s still so much you or I haven’t seen yet of our immediate surroundings and what they have to offer.

100 Days of Nature – Day 51 – Looking Ahead

Soon, we’ll be able to explore further afield again. I hope to appreciate more what lies elsewhere, to take in the moment while I’m there.

The Dolomites, Italy

100 Days of Nature – Day 49 – Serenity

Now that the weather is brightening up, with a few exceptions, more and more life is starting to emerge. If this isn’t something to look forward to, I dont know what is. Sometimes just to exist and observe is all you need.

100 Days of Nature – Day 31 – Changes

The sky is at its most beautiful in the early morning, in my opinion anyway. The sky is the one thing not in our control, the one things we can’t built upon or manipulate. And it shows how wonderous things can be when left under their own steam. These photos were taken 30 minutes apart, and what a difference!

100 Days of Nature – Day 27 – Foggy Wrekin

I love creepy, and many associate fog, or mist, with creepy. So called films, of course, but I also think of Silent Hill (I only ever played the original PS1 game as a kid, scarred me for a while). I think creepy can still be very beautiful though, in an eerie, unsettling way. Silhoettes, ominous glows where the sun should be clearly visible… figures emerging from nowhere…

100 Days of Nature – Day 20 – Pink Pink Pink

One needs a splash of glorious pink every now and again, found while walking back from a mandatory stint in the office.

100 Days of Nature – Day 15 – Snow! Continued

I love snow. It makes everything wonderful and pretty and glittery. And I haven’t seen it for a few years. This morning, I looked out the window while making a cup of tea and just saw dense snowfall, and it was gorgeous. Even living in such a built up area, it was still beautiful. Just one of the great things about snow; anything can look beautiful.
