Do you ever wonder whether you’re the only one in a mile radius who is in complete awe of something spectacular happening?

Anything, Everything
Do you ever wonder whether you’re the only one in a mile radius who is in complete awe of something spectacular happening?

The sky is at its most beautiful in the early morning, in my opinion anyway. The sky is the one thing not in our control, the one things we can’t built upon or manipulate. And it shows how wonderous things can be when left under their own steam. These photos were taken 30 minutes apart, and what a difference!

Today’s premise is simple. Just appreciating how nature can present itself in such ways, whether its the brightest sunset or the tallest trees, the smallest flowers or the most distinct looking animals.

Winter can be a dull, drab time. Everything is grey or brown or just a bit icky (when there’s no snow about, in which event everything is glorious). But often thats when the odd splash of colour, usually going unnoticed, might suddenly pop out at you in the shape of leaves, flowers, little red berries.

I love creepy, and many associate fog, or mist, with creepy. So called films, of course, but I also think of Silent Hill (I only ever played the original PS1 game as a kid, scarred me for a while). I think creepy can still be very beautiful though, in an eerie, unsettling way. Silhoettes, ominous glows where the sun should be clearly visible… figures emerging from nowhere…
Today is the start of a four day break. Not much, and I never thought I’d appreciate a day off so much while remote working. But in a way, I appreciate it more than ever.
It is nice getting up to this, though.

Another throwback today, but I think its good to look back on the times that weren’t so samey. These days, my days consist of work, jog, binging Supernatural and a bit of washing thrown in. With a smattering of drawing and yoga, of course. But holidays, city breaks… they’re exactly that, a break from the mundane no matter what the world’s situation is.
Today, I’ve been thinking about my trip to Vienna in 2019. On this day, we went to the aquarium (that also had monkeys).

I started this thing with the intention of sticking to what I can go and check out right now. But on days like today, when I’ve run on my treadmill and, maybe you just don’t feel like going out, its important to remember the things you’ve seen elsewhere. The beautiful memories you have count for everything right now, and looking back on them should serve to know that there is an out there, and you will see it again soon.
So today, I’ll be remembering a snorkeling trip to the Blue Lagoon in Cyprus in 2019. Not really a lagoon, but very blue, and very pretty none the less

Third hike up the Wrekin this year, and my god it was bitter. But this is such a striking image, isn’t it?
